Metatropis rufescens
Family: Berytidae

This large and umistakeable orange-brown stiltbug is a woodland species, feeding on the leaves of enchanter's nightshade Circaea lutetiana.

Found throughout much of southern Britain including Wales, although absent from Ireland. Adults overwinter, mating in the early summer. The new generation is complete by August.
