Neophilaenus campestris
Family: Aphrophoridae

Neophilaenus can be separated from Philaenus by the straight costal margin in the basal two-thirds of the forewing; there are several UK species.

N. campestris is relatively easily identified by the two pale areas on the costal margin in the apical half of the wing, on an otherwise pale brownish background; it does not have a distinct pale margin running the length of the costa.

Found in the southern UK (north to Yorkshire) in grassy places.
