Cicadula flori
Family: Cicadellidae

Cicadula is a large and difficult genus of yellow-green leafhoppers, frequently with black spots on the vertex and rather long antennae. Dissection of males is often required for definitive identication.

In C. flori the basal half of the forewings are strongly yellow and the black spots on the vertex are small or absent.

First recorded in Britain in 1979 and since found at a number of sites in southern England, where it is associated with tall sedges such as Carex acuta,
in wet meadows and fens.

Adult: July-September
Length: 4.0-5.5 mm
