florida Family: Cicadellidae A fairly common species on a variety of plants in the Labiateae, including dead-nettle and mint. There are a few similar species, but E. florida is recognised primarily by the deeply incised black mark on the midline of the vertex, and by the separation of the lateral black mark on the pronotum from the complex central pattern. The scutellum has two black triangles and two black dots between. Compare: E. stachydearum Adult: April to November Length 3-3.5 mm |
