Opsius stactogalus
Family: Cicadellidae

A very attractive pea-green leafhopper which is found on tamarisk, often in large numbers. The vertex is evenly rounded and only slightly longer in the centre than it is by the eyes. The wings may be plain green or marked with pale areas; sometimes they are scattered with black dots. The scutellum is yellowish-green.

Recorded from much of southern Britain on tamarisk, both on the coast and on cultivated forms inland.
