Paramesus obtusifrons
Family: Cicadellidae

A striking species which has a rounded vertex with a strong dark line parallel to the anterior margin. There is another dark band present on the face just below the ocelli. The pale wing veins are prominent and the cells dark-edged, particularly in the male. Compare Paralimus phragmitis.

Locally common across southern Britain in coastal marshes, where it is associated with sea club rush.
