Typhlocyba bifasciata
Family: Cicadellidae

A very distinctive species with two major colour forms: Either with two dark bands, or with the intervening area also dark to form a large solid area over the scutellum and basal two thirds of the forewing. The ground colour varies from white to yellowish, and the stripes from brown to grey or black.

It is apparently widespread in the UK, but is restricted to Hornbeam.

Adult: July to October
