Zyginidia scutellaris
Family: Cicadellidae

An extremely common leafhopper, which is often abundant in rough grassland, where it is associated with various grass species.

Its small size and nondescript patterning can make it unobtrusive, but the generally yellowish colouration and three dark triangles on the scutellum are distinctive. Note also the
olive-grey markings on the pronotum and vertex. While the wings are usually unmarked, they can sometimes show a tendency towards two greyish bands.

Adult: All year
Length 2-2.5 mm
