Family: Delphacidae

This delphacid is native to the USA where it is found in saltmarshes, feeding on Spartina alterniflora. It has recently been introduced to Britain and was first recorded in 2008 from the Hampshire coast in association with the closely related common cord-grass Spartina anglica.
