Cyrtorhinus caricis
Family: Miridae

A small bug which has greenish forewings with a dark stripe down the centre, covering the clavus and inner part of the corium. The antennae are entirely black and the species is always macropterous.

Widely scattered throughout the UK in damp habitats with sedges and rushes. This bug is predatory and very active, feeding mainly on the eggs of delphacids.
